the Mr Clean erasers self ablate, so while the structure deforms with
the surface it also
is destroyed by the surface, its grit factor is like 20 on anything
above the surface,
the trick is getting enough of it below the surface to pull dirt out
of the track. The smother
the surface the higher the grit number for the erasers.

They work somewhat dry, but are designed to be wet, so using denatured
Alcohol is the
way to go (wear gloves and dont breathe too hard)

Be careful, since it will still scrub ink and paint off if that is the
anything above the surface.
Also denatured Alcohol will start dissolving the ink or paint, so you
need to be cautious.

The only down side is that, since the eraser ablates, everything is
coated with a fine white powdery
film, just like calcium chloride in your dishwasher. Removing that
film is the hardest step,
I go through multiple microfiber cloths getting that off. (which
usually are not cleanable, so be prepared
to toss them)

you then fill the track with hard wax or if you are bold, new hard coat.

you can also use CP100 with them, but I can usually pull more ink off that way.

Some really old hardcoats soften and start dissolving with denatured
Alcohol, so always check
that under the apron. If the coating is going to come off, you would
need a different way.
