Yeah basically that’s it.  Also why it’s free since best 5 out of 10 games with only 10 attempts is challenging.  Should be using 100/90/85 rule.  By keeping it limited to 10 gives David and Lyman’s a chance to test the format out without having many players unable to finish their attempts.  The monthly format will likely change month to month.

 

Also, the finals format is a simple double elimination which we haven’t seen in a long time.  Easy to do with only 8 players.  More than that and you get a lot of delays and waiting due to the bracket structure.

To make sure I'm clear, 10 entry limited herb format over 10 machines with scores counting on top 5? So realistically, you need to play a minimum of 5? Also, is it the 100 for 1st, 90 for 2nd, 85-1 for 3rd-87th scoring? The FB page doesn't specify and that can be an important strategic element.

This Saturday, August 5th, is the first monthly Lyman’s Tavern Jackalope Hunt tournament and Star Wars pinball machine launch party.  This tournament is free except for top 8 qualifiers who can pay $10 to play in the finals.

 

You can attempt to qualify between 11am and 5pm.  Finals will start after qualifying is completed.  Each player will have 10 attempts on any game, including the same game multiple times.
