John:

At the head to head you beat me, Fred beat you & I beat Fred, so we beat each other. With a 12 pt tie between us it goes to the 2nd tie breaker which is the last game. I won the last game, you came in 2nd and Fred came in either 3rd or 4th.

Update! There a shocking revelation: Due to inattention on my part, the three way tie for B Division was not resolved correctly. Here are the correct results:
#4 - Kevin Walton - 4 pts
#3 - Fred Butts - 12 pts
#2 - John Locke - 12 pts
#1 - Rob Thomas - 12 pts

Thanks to Rob for bringing this to my attention. I’m not going to Steve Harvey the prizes or anything, but Rob will get a special compensation award at my expense.

Another exciting season is in the books. It was so hotly contested that PPL sent Brian Teyssier as an observer to make sure that the evening didn’t end in bloodshed. We have punished the guilty, we have rewarded the innocent. My friend, can your heart stand the shocking facts about pinball league playoffs at VÜK in Bethesda?!?

In C Division, an evenly matched group battled the entire night with only one point stolen in the final match. Coming into the last game it was anyone’s to win, and they finished with two ties.
#4 - William Wulf - 9 pts
#3 - Manuel Hernandez - 9 pts
#2 - Audrey Bonsignore - 11 pts
#1 - Caleb Williams - 11 pts

B Division, on the other hand, was stealing points left and right… most of the head-to-head matches were 4-0. Kevin had a tough night, but things ended up with a 3-way tie for first. Head-to-head results got a solid workout this evening.
#4 - Kevin Walton - 4 pts
#3 - Rob Thomas - 12 pts
#2 - John Locke - 12 pts
#1 - Fred Butts - 12 pts

A Division had several missed opportunities and upsets, not the least of which was Justin following up an 8 bill AFM win with a 277M loss. And by some bizarre twist of fate, I did not come in last place.
#4 - Max Baskin - 7 pts
#3 - Josh Dixon - 9 pts
#2 - Rob Wintler-Cox - 10 pts
#1 - Justin Bath - 14 pts

And to top it all off I forgot to take pictures of the winners. -_-* But Teyssier was filming the awards ceremony for Human Rights Watch and insists that he will post it on YouTube… however, there is no guarantee that I will not be replaced by a frowny Doug Polka head.

Next season starts January 21st! Changes are afoot… old favorites and reviled fiends will leave, and at least one retiree will be back for a victory lap. Exciting new games are on order from THREE different manufacturers! It’s gonna be great. Be there! Aloha.
