[FSPA] 1st time at Pinburgh

Yes people bring them up. There are always a set of people that have them.

So people have made comments on just making it through the weekend, but I’ll also say – bring hand gel and wash your hands. I have been to Papa and Pinburgh probably a total of 8 times between the two and I always come back with a cold or sick. It is just a lot of people touching those buttons. I’m am far from a germ freak, but an occasional clean up goes a long way to staying healthy.

As far as play goes – have fun, don’t get intimidated, and make sure you are on the tips email/website list. It is a lifesaver when you don’t know the rules.

Just curious, has anybody brought a small, gel floor mat to stand on -- like one of those anti-fatigue kitchen mats?

Great suggestions overall!

Thank you!

Deb

1. Be polite, especially to tournament and show staff, but to everybody in general.

2. Read the rules <http://papa.org/competitions/pinburgh-match-play-championship/> and follow them

3. Buy good, cushioning insoles. The floors are hard concrete.

4. Take frequent breaks. There's an entire weekend to get through

5. Hydrate. The convention air is very dry.

7. Check in with the FSPA for group dinners and activities.

Hi!

This is my first time at Pinburgh and I'm pretty excited. I wanted to pick everyone's brains on any tips, tricks, or suggestions for a good time while there. I mean, I plan on playing a lot of pinball but it's good to get some "do this, don't do this" ideas.

Happy Monday!

Lesley
