I use this stool. Holds up to 400 lbs. but is heavier. Still pretty easy to carry around.

Dave, the stool I have is similar to this one, and holds at least 250# (rated to 275, but I know what mine holds safely).

I've been thinking about something like this, but most fold-out stools I've seen have weight limits that are, shall we say, not conducive to certain body types. Anyone got a suggestion for something a bit more sturdy?

I bought a camp stool, it's a tripod with a nylon seat at the top, and a carrying strap, It's lightweight and low profile. It even slides inside my rolled up gel mat if I'm careful.

if you can find a very light folding chair with a shoulder strap I highly recommend using one, most of the banks are too far from chairs to sit

Echoing a few that have already been mentioned, but:

1) Definitely sit down whenever you can. Your feet will thank you. That being said, don't move the chairs or the wrath of the local union will descend upon Pinburgh (seriously, no one is allowed to move chairs, even Pinburgh staff. It's a convention center thing.)
2) Drink plenty of water. I go through at least a full bottle every round and I'm still dehydrated by the end of Pinburgh. There are water fountains to fill up.
3) If you have any FSPA gear, wear it! It helps us identify our own. :)
4) If you're in the tournament, consult your fellow FSPA'ers for tips and strategies. Often once the rounds are announced there's a small frenzy of people looking up banks and looking for people who have knowledge of the games.
5) Try out the weird stuff like the mini-TV Duck Hunt, Attack from the Back, etc. These are often one-of-a-kind things that are tons of fun.

Hi!

This is my first time at Pinburgh and I'm pretty excited. I wanted to pick everyone's brains on any tips, tricks, or suggestions for a good time while there. I mean, I plan on playing a lot of pinball but it's good to get some "do this, don't do this" ideas.

Happy Monday!
Lesley
