Subject: [FSPA] Fairfax Pinball Open is coming October 5th-7th

The 12th annual Fairfax Pinball Open has returned after a 3 year hiatus.
Join us at Carpool in Fair Lakes on October 5th through 7th for a main and
classics tournament.

See the web-site (http://pinholicsanonymous.com/home/fairfax-pinball-open/)
for full details on format, pricing and to pre-register for tournaments.

There is a registration fee of $15 if you pre-register, or $20 at the door.
This goes towards all expenses with excess going towards the main prize
pool.

Entry fees for game attempts are $2.50 / game, sold in $5 increments. All
prize pool money will be paid out in prizes minus IFPA fees of $1 / player.

Format summary: Best game, modified Herb style for both main and classics.
Main is best 5 of 10 games, classics is best 4 of 8.

Playoffs for main will be top 32 qualifiers in a single elimination best 3
of 5 format. Top 8 get two byes, next 8 get one bye and remaining 16 play
first round.

Classics finals will be top 24 and play in PAPA style, 4 player, 3 game
matches. Top 8 players get first round bye.

There will also be a B division in main for the next 8 players that did not
make the A finals, who are ranked 1000+ in IFPA.

We need volunteers for scorekeeping. Each shift is 3 hours, with breaks
available as needed. Each shift will reward the volunteer with either
registration fees + 2 game entries, or 6 game entries. See the web-site for
more details. You can also register for shifts on the web-site.

We look forward to hosting a large format event again in Fairfax, Virginia.
Come on out and give it a try.
