Is it possible to see if everyone is ok with moving to Tuesdays this season
if we are going to have conflicts some Thursday nights

There seemed to be plenty of parking last Thursday. If you park in the lot
behind that isn't on carpool property you will get towed but it shouldn't
be a problem to park on-site

How so? Isn’t there a ton of parking there?
Or is it -that- busy on Thursdays?

In addition to adjacent bookings, it also seems like parking is going to be
an issue on Thursdays (if you don't want towed). Maybe another good reason
to move to Tuesday.

The room reservations end at 8 for the most part. A tourney would be fine
as people that commit to one aren't necessarily concerned with start/end
times at least in my experience. Also there's two machines that aren't in
that room so at tourney/challenge could be run on them independently.
Options galore.

They would love to have us on Tuesday as that night is usually dead.
Believe me that was discussed during my initial negotiations with them. :)
I said we'd look into it.

Good luck doing a knockout tournament on Thursdays when the issue at hand
is not being able to get in the room on Thursdays where the machines are.

i'm cool with Tuesdays. I think bringing CarPool significantly more
business on Tuesdays would give us more leverage with them, rather than
being another drop in their already-overflowing Thursday bucket. (I also
prefer a half empty bar to a full one, but i'm sure there are others who
feel the opposite). -Dan R.

So we'll start a bit later in the main room. We can probably get groups
started on GoT and GB since they are on the floor.

We will convene in the area just outside the pinball room to hand out score
sheets and such.

This will be a recurring problem on Thursday nights as it's one of their
busier nights. I don't want to ask them to not book that room for parties
because we want them to succeed which means we have a place to play.

As I've mentioned we may want to consider (after this season of course)
moving this league to Tuesday evening. That would mean we wouldn't have to
compete for space with the FXA sports league AND I could put in a permanent
reservation for the pinball room. We could still do pinball stuff on
Thursdays such as knockout tournaments and such.

Anyway, feel free to email me at thebob at fspazone.org with your
preference/opinion.

See you Thursday!
Bob
