[FSPA] VBH Doubles Call for Players

Ladies and Gentlemen, as our last season of singles play ends tonight at the current VBH, we officially call for players for our short doubles season starting on April 24.

There will be no Week 0 for this league, league play will start at 8PM on Weds.

While a couple of scoring details are being ironed out yet, here is how it will work.  Each week your team will be locked in heated battle with another team.  You will play two regular matches and two split flipper matches.  The bank will be divided into modern and classic games, and you will have one of each type of game on each type of machine each week.

We need signups to be a multiple of four in order for this to work best.  I do not want any byes.

There are no preplays for doubles.  However, each team member may use a substitute one time for the regular season.  No subs are allowed for playoffs.

If there are 16 or more players, we will split into two divisions.  If somehow we get 24 players, we will have three divisions.  Divisions will be based on your historical skill level.  If we split into divisions, I will make every effort to pair people with the partner of their choice.  If there is one division, pairings will be made in an effort to have each team be a comparable skill level.

Playoffs are currently slated for May 22.  If league is tending to run on the short side, playoffs will occur after regular league play on May 15.

Dues are $5 per person, and will be used solely for a meager prize fund.  This league is not eligible for IFPA, WPPR, FSPA, or PostPoints.
