Dang, just when I finally lose to someone on Game of Thrones, I can’t give them that $20 bill because it is definitely a shared resource (and very re-used).

The state makes a lot more money from gambling then they do from pinball.

I’ll be letting others do the playing of games on location. Going to continue avoiding spending any significant time indoors in public locations. Especially including public restrooms. I’m just not ready. I’ll live.

The equipment referred to is gaming equipment, pool tables, cues, touch screen games, pinball, etc. Eating tables (regardless of what you want to do on them Colin), and silverware, menus, etc is obviously covered by the Covid rules that govern the restaurants and their usage during this trying time. I have heard of an interesting exception to the slot machine looking, card dispensing gambling devices in VA that you have seen in places in last few years. Like alcohol-selling stores that were allowed to open early on, I guess VA allows people to get their gambl'n on.

Does that depend on what you are doing on the tables and chairs?

By that definition, couldn’t we consider tables and chairs to be shared equipment?

As much as like that interpretation (to have us play more pinball), "shared" refers to shared by patrons of the establishment, not necessarily only individual groups. Playing a single player game and then another patron playing it right after he/she is finished is essentially the same thing as two people playing a two-player game.

The regs are open to some level of interpretation. Pool is a multiplayer game. Pinball can be a solo or multiplayer game. Pinball equipment may be considered for single use(not shared equipment). If I play on location it will be a single player game until we are allowed to play multiplayer...

The state is attempting to protect those that are unable to protect themselves I guess.

I was told the same thing as Roland...Virginia has been pretty vague about this (probably because it's not really a big issue in the grand scheme of things) but if you look under the FAQ section they ask about pool halls. The state says no shared equipment shall be operated....that said if the bar is ok with it and your willing to take the risk that no one says anything.....

Any word on other locations coming back on line? Is mom’s open?

Scott Nash said the current plan is opening the MOM's pinball room on the 19th.
