[FSPA] Scott Sidley

Very sad news. Christine and I would arrive early on league nights to check
in with Scott, as we came to see him as kind of the unofficial
"gatekeeper". He was always near the door with his eye on the change
machine. League didn't start for us until we got the latest from Scott.

He never got annoyed with me whenever I'd watch him repair something and
ask millions of questions, UNLESS it was a dumb question. I'll fondly
remember the time when I asked him something (admittedly something stupid),
not even pinball related, and he gave me a look like I'd robbed him of any
joy he'd ever had in his life, and then sympathetically looked to Christine
and asked "how could you put up with him"?

Actually, I took that moment as a learning experience and apply it to my
everyday life. I'm not even kidding, from that moment on if I ask a
question, or make a statement, I ask myself in my head: "Is this question
thought out, would it cause pain in Scott's face if I asked it?" and
honestly it's helped me communicate so much more efficiently.

Lastly, I'll always remember his graciousness. Christine and I aren't that
good at pinball, but the few times that we got to actually play a table
with Scott, even if we would get slaughtered by the other players in the
group, he would illustrate an aspect of our game that we'd improved on, or
acknowledge a really difficult shot that we'd made. You could tell he was
really watching our game, and not just throwing out a fluff compliment to
make us feel better, so it always really meant something when Scott gave
you some good feedback.
