I'm pleased to announce the Silverball Sanctum Spring '25 season at Lost
Rhino!
Changes for 2025.
The Spring and Fall seasons will use the 10-week traditional ladder
format.
*Overview:* *The long-standing traditional ladder format of FSPA, spanning
over 25 years, comprises a fun for all skill level 10-week league, with an
additional week for finals. The “ladder” format is meant to keep players of
similar skill levels competing week after week, and avoids the newest
pinball players from playing the seasoned and highly skilled players.*
The groupings for week 1 will be based on your recent
outscoring percentage. This will match the players by their skill level on
week 1. Players will move up or down one group each week based on their
performance. *Please note, the Spring and Fall seasons using this format
will not be IFPA sanctioned for WPPR points.*
The Summer season will use the new Matchplay format as used by the Carpool
League in Arlington. It is a shorter season format, only 8-weeks long,
which is appropriate for the Summer season. The Carpool league adopted it
last year and it was very well received by their players. We will give it
a try at this league for the Summer season and see how it goes.
*Registration*
You can pre-register for the 2025 Spring season here
<https://forms.gle/S6w76Lf5Hzvj4HZw6>. Just fill out the form. This helps
with preparing for the first week of league, but is not required.
*Schedule*
Week 0 is January 22. This is a meet and greet, and to get familiar with
the games. (Completely optional)
Week 1 is January 29. (First official week of this season)
Start time on Week 1 is 7:00pm. We ask players to try and arrive by 6:45pm
so we can properly account for all players. We will likely get started
around 7:15pm.
Full calendar is available here
<http://www.fspazone.org/silverball-sanctum/>.
*Dues*
$30 – normal dues
$0 – first time Silverball Sanctum players dues (operators pay the $30)
We start taking dues on week 1, not week 0.
Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you there!
Tim Doherty
