Well, it's time for our EIGHTH season of Pinball League at The Pinball
Basement.

I am including everyone who already signed up for this next season and also
the people who played/were interested in the previous seasons. If you don't
end up playing you will not be included in the rest of this season's emails
and feel free to disregard the rest of this email.

If you are interested in playing (and haven't already) please sign up at
the link above so we can be better prepared for tomorrow. :)

We kick off our EIGHTH season on *Oct 14th*, with finals on *Dec 16th*.

*Wednesday nights at 7:30p. (7:00p for finals week)*
Your lowest 2 scores during the 8 weeks of qualifying will be dropped!
(Which means you can miss 2 weeks without it counting against you)

*League dues: $20 CASH*, all dues go straight into the prize pool! We pay
the IFPA fees.  *PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING CASH TOMORROW*

All machines are set to "free play".  *$10 day pass required
each league night*, doors open at 4p. (Discounted from regular $15)

*Monthly members do not require a day pass. ($50/month)*

*Dates:*
Week 1: Oct 14th
Week 2: Oct 21st
Week 3: Oct 28th
Week 4: Nov 4th
Week 5: Nov 11th
Week 6: Nov 18th
Off Week: Nov 25th (Thanksgiving Eve)
Week 7: Dec 2nd
Week 8: Dec 9th
Finals: Dec 16th (Finals will start at 7p due to the longer format)


*Format:Weeks 1-8Qualifying weeks use 7/5/3/1 or 7/4/1 scoring for 4 player
and 3 player groups, respectively, 4 games per week.  We use balanced
pairing for the whole season.Week 9 is finals for those who qualify:Top 8
or 16 (depending on total players) will play in a PAPA style finals format.*

For Week 1 tomorrow, please make sure you *arrive by 7:15p*.  The extra
time the first week helps to get things rolling by 7:30p.

UPSIDE has generously agreed to give the highest point total player for
each week a $10 gift certificate for the food hall.  (You can only win once
per season).
