<div dir="ltr">Yeah. That was me 2 years ago. LOOK AT ME NOW!!<div><br></div><div>If we want to complain about anything about pinburgh, we should be complaining about the new division restrictions. </div><div><br></div><div> If I'm Justin Bath, who is restricted to A based on my top 100 ranking, I can just show up, and if I play shitty the first day, I still automatically will eventually "finish" in rank number over someone ilike nice ol' Stephanie Traub (who is only restricted to D with her 600's ranking) even if Stephanie had a better first day (unless i play amazing and get into A on my own, which will now be harder because the top 100 will get into A just by showing up, taking up a ton of spots in that division). THAT is some BS. I realize it's to prevent sandbagging, but I'm not going to Pinburgh for the money, i'm going for the glory, dammit.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Sun, Feb 24, 2019 at 1:05 PM Joe Schober via FSPA <<a href="mailto:fspa@fspazone.org">fspa@fspazone.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><br>

I disagree. We see increasing numbers of people who stumble into competitive pinball through one of those $5 weeklies, or through a league like FSPA, and get totally hooked. Then they hear at league night that there’s this amazing Pinburgh tournament coming up, it’s an entire league season compressed into a weekend, so much fun, you gotta try it! So this excited player is sitting there at 11:59:59 with the rest of us, finger poised on Refresh. This is exactly the sort of player that I hope gets a Pinburgh ticket so they get further drawn into the community... that’s how the next generation of players is established. <br>
