I was able to watch the service and I would have liked to be there to share with you all in the stories and memories of Scott. I am spending the afternoon thinking of the stories that have been shared thus far and my personal memories. For me Scott will forever
be connected to Flash Gordon. FG was my second game and currently the one I've owned the longest in part due to it's connection to Scott. Scott got it playing when I didn't have a clue what I had gotten myself into when buying it. He called dibs on it had
I wanted to sell it and now a part of me wishes I had let him have it. It will now be even harder to part with should that day come. I hope everyone has such a game that will always remind you of him.<br>

<p class="x_Standard" align="center" style="text-align:center">Ronald Scott Sidley</p>
<p class="x_Standard"> </p>
<p class="x_Standard">Ronald <b class="">Scott</b> Sidley is the older of two sons born to Ms. Louise Sidley and Mr. Francis Paul Sidley. He was born in Keyser, West Virginia on June 3, 1962. He is preceded in death by his father and his two fur-babies, Kira
and Simba.</p>
<p class="x_Standard"> </p>
<p class="x_Standard">Scott was a consummate scholar in his own right, teaching himself how to play the guitar as well as build computers and refurbish pinball machines. He was an active member of the International Flipper Pinball Association and a longterm
member of the Ferrets Club, which is a group of buddies that were known for BBSing, playing SSX all night, traveling around the country to ride on different roller coasters and participating in PlanetBashers. Watching anime cartoons was another favorite pastime
that kept Scott young at heart.</p>
<p class="x_Standard"> </p>
<p class="x_Standard">He professionally served as an electrical engineer for many years at the Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC)/Leidos. No one except his colleagues ever knew what he did, but there is a strong suspicion that he played an
invaluable role in building lifesaving applications.</p>
<p class="x_Standard"> </p>
<p class="x_Standard">Scott is survived by his loving mother, brother (Keith Sidley), nephew (Hayden Sidley) and lifelong partner (Diane Keister), along with her daughter Kelly Oehlschlager. He also leaves behind many, many close friends, as well as a host
of cousins.</p>
<p class="x_Standard"> </p>
<p class="x_Standard">Friends and relatives will be received at the Adams-Green Funeral Home, located at 721 Elden Street Herndon, Va 20170. Visitors are welcomed to arrive by 1 pm Saturday, September 12 2020. A brief memorial service will be led by his cousin,
Pastor Randy Crowe at 2 pm. This service will also be live-streamed at <a href="https://adamsgreen.com/" class=""><span class="" style="color:windowtext; text-decoration:none">https://adamsgreen.com</span></a> for those who cannot physically attend. <b class="">Please
note that all visitors must wear face coverings while at Adams-Green Funeral Home.</b></p>
