<div dir="ltr"><p class="MsoNormal">Good morning Mustang pinball league players.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,0)">Changes for Summer 2025.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal">Here is the big change coming up this season...  The Summer season will use the new Matchplay format as used by the Carpool League in Arlington.  It is a shorter season format, only 8-weeks long, which is appropriate for the Summer season.  The Carpool league adopted it last year and it was very well received by their players.  I decided to give it a try at Mustang for the Summer season and see how it goes.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal">Not required, but you can read up on the new format <a href="http://www.fspazone.org/format-non-ladder/">here</a>.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,0)">Registration</span><u></u><u></u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">You can pre-register for the 2025 Summer season <a href="https://forms.gle/cdedY3pZtFbm3cKt9" target="_blank">here</a>.  Just fill out the form.  This helps with preparing for the first week of league, but is not required.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u>Schedule<u></u><u></u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><b>Week 1 is June 3</b>.  (First official week of this season)</p><p class="MsoNormal">Start time on Week 1 is 7:30pm.  We ask players to try and arrive by 7:15pm so we can properly account for all players.  We will likely get started around 7:45pm.<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal">Full calendar is available <a href="http://www.fspazone.org/mustang-sally/" target="_blank">here</a>. </p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u>Dues</u><u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><b>$20 – normal dues (New low price!)</b></p><p class="MsoNormal">$0 – first time Mustang Sally players dues (operators pay the $20)<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">We will begin taking dues on week 2, not week 1.<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> </p><p class="MsoNormal"><u>Summary<u></u><u></u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">All players will have the opportunity to compete for A division placement by playing against random opponents for league points in the initial week and then grouped together using the swiss method.  Divisions will be locked in on week 5 and players will only play other players within their division.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u>Details<u></u><u></u></u></p><ol start="1" type="1" style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in"><li style="margin:0in;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">First 4 weeks of league will comprise a random grouping for week 1 followed by swiss groupings for week 2 through 4.  The swiss component will attempt to avoid players being grouped against significantly higher or lower skilled players.<u></u></li><li style="margin:0in;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Week 5 will be grouped based on overall points from best 3 of the first 4 weeks of league (drop the lowest score).<u></u><u></u></li><li style="margin:0in;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Weeks 5 through 8, divisions are locked in, and players will be grouped together using a "balanced" method that mostly avoids playing the same opponents more than once.  </li><li style="margin:0in;font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Players only play other players within their division during week 5 through 8.</li></ol><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">Any questions, feel free to reach out directly to me at <a href="mailto:edan@fspazone.org" target="_blank">edan@fspazone.org</a>.<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">Thanks, and looking forward to this season of pinball at Mustang Sally.</p><font color="#888888"><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal">-Edan Grossman</p></font></div>
