Some TDs might look askance at any nudging of the machine once the ball is in or below an outlane, or below the flippers. Your safest bet would be to avoid any nudging in those situations. In practice, unless you were really whipping the machine around like old-school death saves, I suspect most TDs will be reluctant to DQ a player for a subtle nudge -- it's really hard to adjudicate, even with video review -- but you might get an official warning.</div><div><br></div><div>(This question is made more complicated by the existence of machines -- Foo Fighters being the most recent example I can think of -- that have deliberate design features encouraging saves that might otherwise be considered "illegal". Personally, I lean heavily in the direction of letting the machine itself be the judge: if you didn't tilt out, play on.
