I had a Stern Mustang that was “very, very” dirty from two years of public use. I used Cp100 and a magic eraser and it looks brand new.

Thanks for the info. most of the trails are in places that arent visible, (inner loop that's under a side ramp, etc) and i'm planning on applying mylar to these locations.
I may have done a poor job explaining as well. for the most part the trails are barely more severe than what novus can handle.
I ended up having success using novus 2 on a dremel polishing pad @ 5k rpm

Uh...playfield polishing at least what you're talking about is best done with a random orbit polisher. If it's like an inlane groove or something localized and fairly hidden you could try the dremel. You could also try Novus 3 but realize it's going to cut through the clear coat pretty quickly.
I'd read the Vid1900 thread on playfield refurbishment on Pinside before I went nuts though.

Hey guys,
I have a mid 90s dmd with a pretty nice playfield but there's a few spots where the ball trails have actually caused scratching/contour and wont come up with just novus 2.
Anything i can do about those areas perhaps with a dremel? i have a wide variety of heads including polishing pads.
Any other solutions are welcome as well.
thanks,
Steve
