[FSPA] VUK League Playoff Results!

Division A
1st - Justin Bath - 13 pts (head to head winner)
2nd - Steve Jonke - 13 pts
3rd - Tim Peterson - 10 pts
4th - John Locke - 4 pts

A Division started off with a long wait for B to finish their epic Dialed
In game, and then proceeded to put up huge scores as well (the *lowest*
score was over 600K). Coming into the final game on Attack from Mars,
Justin had to beat Jonke by at least two points. It all came down to the
final ball, during which Steve had a tough break… leaving Justin to totally
annihilate it for the win.


Division B
1st - Scott Sidley - 12 pts
2nd - Rob Thomas, MD - 10 pts
3rd - Dana Ost - 9 pts (head to head winner)
4th - Doug Malcolm - 9 pts

“Pick Batman against Scott. It’s statistically his weakest game!” That
strategy failed for both Dana and Doug, with Scott scoring a 3 and 4 on
them respectively. Coupled with a *league record* score of 2.9 million on
Dialed In meant that going into the final game on Argosy, Scott was
virtually guaranteed the win. Rob tried heroically, but when the dust
cleared Scott has sailed into victory.


Division C
1st - John Mucciardi - 12 pts
2nd - Audrey Bonsignore - 11 pts
3rd - Celina Cuadro - 10 pts
4th - Angela Pecora - 7 pts

Angela discovered that having a soap dispenser explode in your face before
the start of playoffs is not conducive to competitive pinball. John, the #4
seed, ran roughshod over everyone with 3s in all but the last round. Audrey
was right behind him, but she needed to beat him by three points on
Aerosmith… a definite possibility, when he finished as the Last Child with
5.5 million points. But Audrey got just 200K more, Celina Walked This
Way with a 27 million point score, and Angela - her eyesight recovered -
was Back in the Saddle again with 66 million points. John - in his first
league season - took C Division gold!


Thanks and congratulations to all the finalists, and to all the league
players! We’ll see you in just two short weeks on September 10th for the
start of Fall Season!
