[FSPA] Mighty Mikes - Tomorrow, Future, Etc?

That's a thoughtful insight Bob, but in this case it is not related to a family emergency.  There is a lot of financial stuff behind the scenes (some I can't go into, and just found out about it a week ago), and there is a lot of he said-she said between various shopping center management people that have come and gone and Mighty Mikes, and some stuff is not in writing.  The library may not like them, but they knew the bar was there before they moved in, and legally they do not have a say.  But of course there are politics involved, and so that may have been one of the reasons why the landlord started to become more aggressive in removing them.


So after i found out about some of the behind the scenes stuff, a few days later I got the word (Friday late afternoon) about their closing ...and just the day before my Mother went into the hospital ...so when it rains it pours:/   And the only day I could get movers was today, and have spent most of the day with them after taking apart equipment, etc., jukebox was the worse.  And i did buy their changer for whatever future place these pinballs end up supporting the FSPA, and that changer made 10 pieces, and so much equipment that we had to move two of the machines in a separate trip ... I am exhausted, and I didn't even do the lifting, lol.  Good to relax and catch up on emails.  -Roland

Is there anything you're able to share regarding what happened?  If not are you able to at least say if everyone is ok.  I know that sometimes when a family run place like this closes suddenly it's often related to a family emergency like death or illness.... Combine that with the fact you mentioned a few weeks ago about them doing some upgrades to the pin room soon kind of add to the sudden shocker.  Understandable if you're not able to share but wanted to at least ask if everyone is ok.

No one is more bummed than me, as I have a lot of money invested in the FSPA league there, not to mention 2017 Golden Tee, jukebox, megatouch.  This came as a shock, with no notice, as I just spent money on Ghostbusters and Jungle Lord :/   It's after midnight and I just got back from there prepping machines for the movers.  I have a nearby location in Ashburn (on the Sterling side) that I already have a pin in and they have tons of room and the manager is all for the league being there but he has to convince the owner and its been two days and am waiting for an answer as the machines are either going to the location or to my storage area on Monday at noon. With Mighty Mikes closing -- what's the thoughts? Bummer.

Monday night is not a league night due to the ReplayFX event this 
weekend, which was awesome.

Are the pinballs out already? Is the venue open and doing food tomorrow 
(Monday) night? If the pins are there and food and drink is pouring -- 
want to gather my homies?
