I should also point out that the date for the league results on this email are wrong… it says 9/25 even though we played on the 24th (and I submitted the results on the 24th… o_O ). Further inspection revealed that week 1 was incorrectly dated as well. I corrected both of them, and the accurate dates should now show up on the web site.

Badges represent achievements that are set up in the scoring software to give us something to strive for other than the week to week grind of crushing your opponents and seeing them driven before you.


Many of them are fairly obvious, concrete goals like winning a group, getting high scores on games, etc. Some are mathematically interesting, such as being in a group where the outcome was determined by a very small number of points, or winning a game even though your group scored much less than the league average. Others are for league-related activities, like hosting the end of season party or being a league officer. A few are whimsical, like playing on holidays or having game scores that spell words in pocket calculator letters (e.g. 0-4-0-4 gets you the Ho Ho badge). And a small handful are deliberately obscure, like the infamous DOHO badge that no one except the Schobers know what it is.
