Most games, including Ghostbusters, have many paths to earn points. You can play video mode, or regular scenes, or Storage Facility MB, or PKE, or whatever. Many players choose to do video mode because it’s potentially (not guaranteed) good points, with no risk of draining. But that’s 30 seconds, and then you’re back to normal game play, and hopefully having fun doing something else in the game. Meanwhile, a player who started a scene instead of video mode is hopefully having fun and earning points that way. 

So when it’s your turn, choose a strategy you like, and execute it the best you can.
