Ronald "Scott" Sidley

Ronald "Scott" Sidley, 58, of Falls Church, VA, beloved domestic
partner/common-law husband of Diane Keister for 31 years passed away on
Friday, September 4, 2020, at Capital Caring Halquest Center in Arlington,
VA, after a fighting a 2 year battle with colon cancer.

The son of Louise Sidley and the late Francis Paul Sidley, Scott was born
in Keyser, West Virginia, and raised in Prince George's County, Maryland,
where he attended Crossland and Eleanor Roosevelt High Schools and also
lived in Fairfax County, Virginia.

He was employed as an Electrical Engineer at LEIDOS and SAIC, in Sterling
Virginia. Scott was gifted, as a musician who played guitar, keyboard, and
drums, all by ear, as well as, built and programmed computers and
refurbished pinball machines. He was a member of the International Flipper
Pinball Association, and the Ferrets Club. From the very early days of
consumer computers, Scott enjoyed programming and building computers,
BBSing, and playing his favorite games D&D, PlanetBashers, SSX, and Bubble
Buster all night. He also enjoyed traveling around the country for his love
of riding tall roller coasters. Watching anime was a recent favorite
pastime that kept Scott young at heart.

Besides his loving and devoted domestic partner/common-law-wife, Diane
Keister, Scott is survived by her daughter, Kelly Oehlschlager and her
husband Jason of Fairfax, VA; his mother, Louise Sidley of Centreville, VA;
a brother, Michael "Keith" Sidley of Chantilly, VA; a nephew, Hayden
Sidley, of Boulder, CO. He also leaves behind several close friends and
cousins.  Besides his father, he was predeceased by his two fur-babies,
Kira Keister and Simba Sidley.

Friends and relatives will be received at the Adams-Green Funeral Home,
located at 721 Elden Street  Herndon, Va 20170. Visitors are welcomed to
arrive by 1 pm Saturday, September 12, 2020. A brief memorial service will
be led by his cousin, Pastor Randy Crowe at 2 pm. *Please note that all
visitors must wear face coverings while at Adams-Green Funeral Home. *This
service will also be live-streamed at https://adamsgreen.com for those who
cannot physically attend.
