A pretty significant & historical classic pin joins Captain Fantastic at Silverball Sanctum in Lost Rhino Brewery, Ashburn.  For those that may not know, GORGAR is the world's first "talking" pinball machine. Have been refurbishing this game for awhile to use at Lost Rhino and I think it now plays like new.  Anyway, see what you think as it is on location now and will be able to be enjoyed for Summer FSPA league season.  And just like with RUSH, this is an augmentation to the lineup and not a replacement.
Those that want a bit of interesting information on the game can keep reading...  The promotion for this game was a thin, flexible, square 45 rpm record embedded in commercial coin-op publications, so the operator could rip it out and play it on a turntable to hear the monster's simple phrases.  It is also possibly the first game with a magnet that holds the ball for effect.  And maybe even the first game with controlled indicator lights that slowly pulse to give an eerie thematic effect.  And besides the talking feature, the game has a cool thumping heart beat background sound that increases in timing, corresponding to how long you maintain the ball in play to build adrenalin.
Even got a NOS (New Old Stock) backglass from the official 1996 backglass run for it.  You may ask why NOS from 1996 when the game is from 1979/1980?   This was Williams' famous game they were proud of, even 16 years later.  Because the game had such an amazingly bold, mirrored backglass, and the fact that they realized the predominately-utilized red colored paint in the artwork often failed (faded or flaked prematurely), they remade the glass in 1996 and corrected the red paint problems they had in the original runs.   -Roland
