Everyone - tonight is week 0 for the Carpool summer pinball league. Week 0 is informal, get to know each other and a good opportunity to get pre-plays done.

Here is the registration link for the summer league. It is not required, you can just show up, but it helps with estimating the number of players for the season:

Here are information/details and how to do pre-plays and submit them. I'll bring blank pre-play sheets tonight that players can use to record scores, give to me at end of night or when you leave, and I'll add to the system before week 1. That also means if you want to play this season but cannot make week 1, you can do pre-plays tonight and not miss out on points week 1.

PREPLAYS
Attached is a blank pre-play sheet for Carpool. You can use this (or just any paper) to track pre-play scores and then submit via email or hand to me on a league night.

Pre-plays work like this:
Concept: You can bank scores for games in case you are absent (planned or unplanned). You can bank up to 3 scores per game. They are used as first in first out. Bottom line, if you have scores banked they'll get used if you are not present.

How to record pre-plays:

  1. You must play with another league player (they don't have to do pre-plays at the same time, just need to be in the game with you)
  2. You must play the same rules as during league play, e.g. one extra ball
  3. You must declare that the game will be a pre-play before starting, and must record the score you get (no mulligans)
  4. Submit the scores for each player in an email to me directly, or provide the score sheet to me at league

How to use pre-plays:
It's all part of the software. If you don't show up, you'll automatically use your banked scores. I bring pre-plays to league and will enter your pre-play scores into the scoresheet so other players know what they are playing against.
