Subject: Carpool Final Results for Fall 2023 season

What another great season with 43 players, and 5 first time FSPA league players.  Results from finals are below.  Lot of tough matches and crazy results including a 3-way tie for first in C division.  Results submitted to IFPA this morning, likely update in the next couple days.

A Division
1st - Chris Newsom
2nd - Kevin Stone
3rd - Joe Landas
4th - Tim Murren
5th - Ed Most
Notes:  Chris was walking out the door when we notified him, he still had a chance to slip into finals from semi-finals if Kevin beat Tim and stole his point on last game.  And that happened.  Chris then went on to win.  There was no softening up play in that last game trying to "choose" who would make it to finals, Kevin put up his best game on Cactus and stole the point.  Last 3-player game of finals wasn't even needed.  Points were Chris (11), Kevin (6), and Joe (1) going into last game, walk off win for Chris!

B Division
1st - Grant Furick
2nd - Jason Good
3rd - Ken Van Pool
4th - Nick Reynolds
Notes: Grant dominated with 4 wins out of 5 matches to take it, but without stealing any points.  Just win and that'll do!

C Division
1st - Ryan Murphy
2nd - John Vigil
3rd - Eric Adams
4th - Naiviv Sillerico
Notes:  This ended up in a 3-way tie for first place with all 3 players beating one of the others.  We turned to the rulebook and the last game played with all 3 players (which was last 4-player game) determined the result.  Ryan started with only 2 points in first two games but won the next 2 and stole a point in the 5th game to take first place.  You're never out until it's truly over.

D Division
1st - Milton Chavez
2nd - Lori Salazar
3rd - Jason Reynolds
4th - Robbie Mulloy
Notes:  "Lori, what are you doing here" was heard from afar.  Well, Lori was there to take 2nd place is what.  Sounds like everyone had a fun time in that group.  Milton - this email went out today just for you buddy, congrats on first.

E Division
1st - Steve O'Connor
2nd - Michael Sartori
3rd - Adam Hill
4th - Elizabeth Sharr
Notes:  First place was a tie with head-to-head as the tie breaker.  That game on Bond was decided by 944,700 points, or 2.3% of Steve's score.  One more mode shot was the difference.

We start up again in January - schedules are being finalized next week.  Look forward to pre-registration emails and website to be setup soon.
